Jordan Lindsay (she/her/hers) is a limited licensed social worker in Michigan who practices under the supervision of Rise co-director, Jen Burke, LMSW. Jordan graduated from Wayne State University with her Masters in Social Work in 2020, drawing a focus in clinical social work practice.
Jordan previously worked in the clinical hospital setting, serving inpatient rehab patients throughout their care. She also has extensive experience working with children with behavioral issues, including autism, anxiety, ADD, ADHD and ODD.
Jordan has also supported adults in addressing a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, social anxiety, situational anxiety, adjustment related anxiety, parenting issues, relationship conflicts, adjustment to parenthood, parenting support and daily life challenges with a mission of supporting her clients in finding their true selves through their strengths and positive thinking patterns and coping skills.
Jordan is passionate about the positive effect of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on her clients. She also draws a focus on other integrative approaches such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy and other mindfulness based practices.
She strives to help them find their voice and recognize unhealthy patterns. Jordan honors her clients and works collaboratively with them to reach their goals for an optimal life. She draws the importance of meeting the clients where they are at in order to achieve attainable treatment goals
