Educational Consultation and Advocacy
Ensuring that children get the appropriate supports and accommodations to allow for success in school both academically and socially can often feel like putting together a complex puzzle. Bridging the gap between what a student needs and what a school provides can be stressful and time consuming for parents, as they navigate the differences in service types and legal options. Through our educational consultation and advocacy services, we support parents as the navigate the complexities of special education.
At Rise, we recognize that ensuring an appropriate academic setting is vital to supporting the wellbeing of children and families as a whole. Our educational consultation and advocacy services support parents in navigating identifying the supports their children need, understanding the type of support and plan (i.e. 504 v IEP) that might be most useful, and guiding parents through the process of advocating for these supports. Through limited consultation or ongoing support services, our educational services provide parents with tools to obtain plans and interventions with measurable goals that support a child’s success as well as to ensure that these plans are appropriately enforced and implemented.
Meetings with Alyssa Thomas and subsequent planning start at $150.
